Zong 4G has once again outpaced its competitors to emerge as Pakistan’s fastest mobile network, according to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)’s Quality of Service (QoS) Survey for the second quarter of 2025.

The report highlights Zong 4G’s dominance in both average download and upload speeds, placing it well ahead of Jazz, Telenor, and Ufone in terms of internet performance. The data was collected from 13 major cities and reflects real-world mobile usage patterns.

📊 Internet Speed Rankings (Q2 2025)
Zong 4G

Download Speed: 25.64 Mbps

Upload Speed: 11.58 Mbps

Jazz

Download Speed: 22.24 Mbps

Upload Speed: 10.79 Mbps

Telenor

Download Speed: 20.09 Mbps

Upload Speed: 9.56 Mbps

Ufone

Download Speed: 15.36 Mbps

Upload Speed: 8.22 Mbps

While upload speeds across networks remained relatively close, download speeds showed notable differences, with Zong 4G leading by more than 10 Mbps over Ufone.

🛰️ How PTA Collected the Data
The QoS survey was conducted using specialized mobile drive testing tools and benchmarking software installed in vehicles, covering cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, and Muzaffarabad.

Over 44,000 voice calls and 117,000+ data sessions were analyzed to assess performance indicators such as:

Internet speed

Latency

Signal strength

PTA says the tests were conducted under standardized and controlled conditions to provide a consistent evaluation across all operators.

This latest report is expected to influence consumer choices and competitive strategies in Pakistan’s telecom industry, especially with 5G expected to roll out in the near future.
