The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has upgraded its one-window facilitation desk at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport, making it easier for overseas Pakistanis and international travelers to access identity-related services.
The newly enhanced desk, now situated in the international terminal briefing area, provides full digital facilities, including services offered through the Pak-ID mobile app. According to NADRA’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regional DG, the desk will now issue and renew National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), Family Registration Certificates (FRC), and Pakistan Origin Cards (POC). These services mirror NADRA’s main branch operations, ensuring added reliability for expatriates.
Officials said the initiative will help reduce waiting times and ensure priority assistance for senior citizens, people with disabilities, and travelers needing urgent documentation.
The upgrade is part of the federal government’s broader facilitation plan for overseas Pakistanis, which also includes placing representatives from 13 departments at airport help desks nationwide.
Earlier, NADRA introduced online registration for births and deaths via its Pak-ID app, allowing citizens to directly update union council records without physical visits — a move aligned with the government’s “Digital Pakistan” vision.
