Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has effectively sidelined her brother from party affairs.
Speaking to journalists outside Adiala Jail, Aleema responded candidly when asked if Gandapur had managed to ‘minus’ Imran Khan from the political equation. “I believe he has indeed been sidelined,” she remarked.
When questioned about provincial assembly members saying that Gandapur is too powerful to oppose, Aleema offered a sharp reply: “If they can’t handle the pressure, they should step aside.”
This comes a day after the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly passed the provincial budget for the upcoming fiscal year with a clear majority. However, it’s worth noting that on June 17, from behind bars, Imran Khan had directed that the budget should not be approved until Ali Amin Gandapur, along with other key leaders including Omar Ayub, Muzammil Aslam, Taimur Jhagra, and Shibli Faraz, personally briefed him in jail.
