ISLAMABAD, July 23, 2025 – Planning a dream trip to Austria? Pakistani travelers applying for a Schengen visa in 2025 must meet strict financial requirements to avoid rejection.
The Austrian Embassy has emphasized that most visa refusals happen due to unclear proof of funds, making it essential for applicants to prepare a six-month valid bank statement with clear bank details and contact information.
While there’s no fixed minimum balance, travelers should show €100–€120 (Rs. 35,000–42,000) per day for their stay. For a full 90-day Schengen trip, that adds up to around €9,000–€10,800 (Rs. 3–4 million).
Besides financial proof, you’ll need:
A valid passport
Travel insurance worth €30,000
Proof of accommodation
Confirmed flight bookings
Income or employment proof
Visa applications are handled by VFS Global in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. The total fee is Rs. 22,560, including visa and service charges.
Processing takes 10–28 days, so it’s best to apply early and double-check all documents to avoid delays.
