CDA chairman orders faster development across Islamabad sectors

Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has directed officials to accelerate development work in several sectors of Islamabad, with a strong focus on quality and transparency.

Chairing a high-level meeting on Monday, Randhawa reviewed progress in sectors C-14, C-15, C-16, E-12, and I-12. Senior CDA officials including Member Administration Talat Mahmood, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, and Member Planning Dr. Khalid Hafiz were present.

He stressed the need for speed without compromising on quality. “We must ensure timely progress while maintaining the highest standards,” he said.

To better engage with the public, Randhawa instructed the CDA Deputy Commissioner and relevant directorates to set up on-site camp offices in active development areas. This move aims to resolve citizen grievances promptly and transparently.

Additionally, Randhawa announced plans to enhance sector infrastructure through modern lighting, road improvements, and widened entry points. He also ordered the removal of encroachments and illegal constructions and called for the elimination of any hurdles delaying progress.

Appreciating the success of CDA’s recent record-breaking commercial plot auction, he commended the relevant departments and directed the Finance Wing to release funds for timely project completion.

“CDA is determined to transform Islamabad into a model city,” he said, reaffirming the authority’s commitment to efficient service delivery and meeting housing demands.
