Buying a new Changan just got more expensive. The company has increased prices across several of its popular models, with hikes ranging from Rs45,000 to Rs200,000.
The latest adjustment affects vehicles in the Oshan X7, Alsvin, Karvaan, and Sherpa lineups. The move comes in the wake of the federal budget announcement and ongoing economic challenges, including rising fuel prices and operational costs that have impacted the auto industry as a whole.
Among the hardest-hit models is the Oshan X7, where both the 5-seater and 7-seater FutureSense (FS) variants have seen their prices climb by Rs200,000.
The Alsvin sedan—a popular choice among Pakistani drivers—has also seen notable increases. The Comfort MT variant is now Rs90,000 more expensive, while the Lumiere and Lumiere Black Edition have each gone up by Rs100,000.
Even smaller and commercial vehicles weren’t spared:
-
The Karvaan Power Plus is now Rs50,000 more expensive.
-
The Sherpa Power 1.2 has seen a Rs45,000 bump.
Here’s a quick look at the revised prices:
Model | Old Price | New Price | Increase |
---|---|---|---|
Oshan X7 Comfort (7-Seater) | 8,299,000 | 8,474,000 | Rs175,000 |
Oshan X7 FS (5-Seater) | 8,949,000 | 9,149,000 | Rs200,000 |
Oshan X7 FS (7-Seater) | 9,099,000 | 9,299,000 | Rs200,000 |
Alsvin MT Comfort | 4,099,000 | 4,189,000 | Rs90,000 |
Alsvin Lumiere | 4,799,000 | 4,899,000 | Rs100,000 |
Alsvin Lumiere Black Edition | 4,899,000 | 4,999,000 | Rs100,000 |
Karvaan Power Plus 1.2 | 3,199,000 | 3,249,000 | Rs50,000 |
Sherpa Power 1.2 | 2,304,000 | 2,349,000 | Rs45,000 |
While car buyers might be disappointed by the hike, the price changes reflect the broader economic environment — where inflation, currency devaluation, and higher production costs are forcing automakers to revisit pricing.
