A viral video circulating on TikTok and other platforms falsely shows PTI founder Imran Khan with a beard. The clip, first posted on August 23, quickly amassed more than 21 million views and was widely shared by PTI supporters.
Fact-checking reveals that the video is doctored. Imran Khan, who has been in prison since August 2023, has consistently appeared clean-shaven in public and court appearances.
A reverse image search traced the viral clip back to May 23, 2023, when PTI’s official X account shared a photo of Imran at the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad. In the authentic image, he is clean-shaven, wearing a white shalwar kameez with a dark blue waistcoat — the same attire seen in the manipulated video. Even the policemen present in both visuals matched, confirming the footage was altered.
The same photo also appeared in a Geo News report from that day, which covered NAB questioning Imran in the £190 million settlement case.
Therefore, claims that Imran Khan currently has a beard are false. The viral video is doctored and does not reflect reality.
