In a significant move to boost internal security, the federal government has approved the recruitment of 3,229 constables for the newly upgraded Federal Constabulary (FC), now functioning as a nationwide federal security force.
The decision follows the issuance of a presidential ordinance that officially transitioned the former Frontier Constabulary into a full-fledged federal law enforcement agency with expanded jurisdiction across Pakistan.
Recruitment will be carried out based on regional and provincial quotas to ensure equal representation from all parts of the country:
Punjab: 20% (646 positions)
Sindh: 20% (646 positions)
Balochistan: 20% (646 positions)
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 20% (646 positions)
Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK): 10% (323 positions)
Gilgit-Baltistan (GB): 6% (193 positions)
Islamabad Capital Territory: 4% (129 positions)
Eligibility Criteria:
Age: 18 to 22 years
Education: Minimum second division in Matric (SSC), Intermediate (FA/FSc), or equivalent
Height Requirements:
Male candidates: Minimum 5 feet 10 inches
Female candidates: Minimum 5 feet 5 inches
Candidates will undergo written exams and physical fitness tests as part of a strict merit-based selection process.
This major recruitment initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen law enforcement and create equitable job opportunities for youth across all provinces and regions.
