Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase on Friday, mirroring gains in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs2,500, reaching Rs357,600.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs2,143, settling at Rs306,584.
The upward movement comes a day after the yellow metal saw a decline of Rs900 per tola, closing at Rs355,100 on Thursday.
On the global front, the international gold rate jumped by $25, reaching $3,351 per ounce (inclusive of a $20 premium), as per APGJSA data.
Meanwhile, silver prices also increased, with per tola silver gaining Rs48 to settle at Rs4,012.
