Gold prices drop again in Pakistan as global rates soften

Gold prices in Pakistan slipped once more on Monday, reflecting the dip seen in global markets.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola settled at Rs358,165, recording a slight gain of Rs300 compared to the previous session.

The price for 10 grams of gold was reported at Rs307,068, showing a minor drop of Rs257 for the day.

Just two days ago, on Saturday, gold prices had climbed sharply, touching Rs358,465 per tola after rising by Rs1,465. That increase had followed a rise in international rates as well.

On the global front, gold also edged lower on Monday. The international price stood at $3,366 per ounce, including a $20 premium — down by $3 from the last quote, as per APGJSA figures.

Silver, meanwhile, moved in the opposite direction. Silver prices per tola rose by Rs14, reaching Rs3,799. On Saturday, silver prices had dipped by Rs11 to Rs3,785 per tola.

Local gold rates often mirror international trends, adjusting daily based on shifts in global prices and currency exchange rates.
