Google has expanded its wearable lineup with the launch of the Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Watch 4, introduced alongside the Pixel 10 series. Both devices feature smarter AI tools, repair-friendly designs, and noticeable upgrades in performance and usability.
Pixel Buds 2a – premium sound at a budget price
The new Pixel Buds 2a bring flagship-like features at an affordable $129.99 price tag. Powered by the Tensor A1 chip, they introduce active noise cancellation (ANC) and transparency mode for the first time in the A-series.
Designed for comfort, the earbuds ship with four ear tip sizes and use AI to deliver clearer calls and voice commands by filtering background noise in real time. Voice control is powered by Google Gemini Assistant, giving users faster and smarter interactions.
Another standout change is the replaceable charging case battery, making the earbuds easier to repair and more sustainable.
Pixel Watch 4 – brighter display and smarter health tracking
The Pixel Watch 4 raises the bar for smartwatches with a larger Actua 360 display, 16% thinner bezels, and 3,000 nits brightness. It runs on Wear OS 6, featuring deep Gemini AI integration for smart replies, AI-powered health coaching, and new gestures such as “raise to talk”.
For durability, the watch is now serviceable, with a replaceable screen and battery. It also includes satellite SOS connectivity, allowing emergency communication even without mobile coverage.
Battery life varies by model—30 hours on the 41mm version and 40 hours on the 45mm LTE version. The redesigned charger delivers 50% power in just 15 minutes. Prices start at $349 for Wi-Fi models and go up to $499 for LTE variants.
