India’s unofficial ban on Pakistani artists has clearly fallen flat — fans were thrilled to spot Hania Aamir in the newly released trailer for the upcoming Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3.
Rumours had been swirling since June 16, when the first teaser dropped, hinting at Hania’s involvement. Now, the full trailer confirms it: she appears prominently as the love interest opposite popular actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh.
The short trailer shows glimpses of Hania speaking Punjabi and sharing romantic scenes with Diljit. Some viewers believe her voice may have been dubbed, but nothing has been confirmed.
Alongside the trailer launch, the filmmakers announced that Sardaar Ji 3 will hit cinemas in India and overseas on June 27.
Until now, Hania had stayed quiet about her role in the film. However, after the trailer’s release, she posted about the film’s worldwide premiere on her social media, exciting fans on both sides of the border.
Speculation about her role started last year, but neither Hania nor Diljit commented publicly. Pakistani actor Nasir Chinyoti first spilled the beans in April 2025, revealing that Hania and several other Pakistani actors were part of the project.
The film faced uncertainty after cross-border tensions escalated last April, following an attack in occupied Kashmir and retaliatory airstrikes. Reports at the time suggested Hania’s scenes might be cut, but the trailer proves otherwise — she’s still very much part of the story.
Fans now eagerly await the film’s release, which seems set to defy political boundaries with its star cast.
