Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited has reached a historic milestone by exporting its first batch of locally assembled vehicles to Japan. A total of 38 Honda City units have been shipped, marking Pakistan’s entry into the highly competitive Japanese automotive market.
This achievement is being celebrated as a proud moment for the country’s auto industry, showcasing the potential of locally manufactured vehicles on the global stage.
On the financial front, Honda Atlas reported an impressive 42% year-on-year revenue growth in MY25, reaching Rs78 billion. The jump was driven by a 53% increase in domestic sales, reflecting strong demand for Honda vehicles in Pakistan.
However, the company acknowledged that high production costs and limited government incentives remain key hurdles to scaling up exports. Competing with international exporters continues to be a challenge, but Honda’s first shipment to Japan is seen as a positive signal for the future of Pakistani-made cars in foreign markets.
