Interloop partners with SAP Ariba to digitize procurement and boost global competitiveness

ISLAMABAD – July 29, 2025: Interloop Limited, one of Pakistan’s top textile manufacturers and global exporters, has launched a major digital transformation initiative by adopting SAP Ariba’s Source-to-Contract Suite, aiming to modernize and centralize its procurement operations.

With over $500 million in annual revenue, Interloop plays a crucial role in Pakistan’s textile export sector. The company is now moving towards a fully integrated clothing operation aligned with international best practices, as part of its broader “Project North Star.”

The transformation marks a shift from decentralized procurement to a centralized digital model, offering enhanced transparency, cost efficiency, and supplier management. SAP Ariba’s suite provides tools for strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, contract lifecycle management, and performance monitoring.

“By digitizing procurement with SAP Ariba, we’re creating a world-class sourcing ecosystem that promotes sustainability, supplier empowerment, and value creation,” said Navid Fazil, CEO of Interloop.

SAP Pakistan’s Country MD Saquib Ahmad praised the move, calling it a milestone for the local industry: “Interloop’s vision fits seamlessly with SAP Ariba’s capabilities. This will significantly reduce sourcing cycle times and enhance governance across the board.”

The new system also supports sustainable procurement practices, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. By adopting SAP Ariba, Interloop sets a strong precedent for tech-led growth in Pakistan’s textile sector, promising increased margins and improved global competitiveness.
