Islamabad to get Rs. 212 billion state-of-the-art Jinnah Medical Complex

Islamabad is set to witness a major boost in healthcare as the government approved the establishment of the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Project at an estimated cost of Rs. 212 billion.

The decision came during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

The ambitious project will create a modern tertiary care hospital in the capital, equipped with advanced medical, surgical, and research facilities. It is being described as a landmark initiative that will strengthen Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure and provide world-class treatment options to citizens.

ECNEC also directed the formation of a special committee to oversee financing arrangements and ensure timely completion of the project.

The meeting was attended by federal ministers for Planning and Finance, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, provincial representatives, and senior officials from the Cabinet, Finance, Health, and EAD divisions.
