Jaecoo J6 EV officially launched in Pakistan as the ‘Bad Boys’ ride

Pakistan’s electric vehicle market just got a serious boost as the Jaecoo J6 Electric SUV makes its official debut — promoted as the “Bad Boys’ Ride” — under the Chery-NextGen Auto partnership.

Born from a new alliance between Chery International and Hyundai Nishat’s NextGen Auto, the Jaecoo J6 is the first product of their EV push, following the automaker’s February 2025 departure from Ghandhara Automotive.

Available in three variants — Comfort, Luxury (both RWD) and Premium AWD — the J6 features battery ranges from 329 km to 462 km, depending on the trim. Performance spans from 184 hp and 220 Nm in RWD models to 279 hp and 385 Nm in the dual-motor AWD version, which does 0-100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds.

Prices in Pakistan:

AWD Premium (69.7 kWh) – Rs 10,799,000

RWD Luxury (65.6 kWh) – Rs 9,899,000

RWD Comfort (49.9 kWh) – Rs 8,799,000

The SUV comes loaded with Matrix LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, NFC key access, and ventilated massage seats, alongside an Infinity 12-speaker system, wireless charging, and dual-zone climate control. A full suite of ADAS safety features includes AEB, LDW, BSD, 360° camera, and adaptive cruise control.

Charging is flexible, with 6.6 kW AC and 80 kW DC capability. The J6’s rugged exterior is paired with a refined, tech-filled interior, offering both comfort and off-road versatility.

With the J6, Chery and Nishat aim to carve out a strong foothold in Pakistan’s fast-expanding EV segment — and the “Bad Boys’ Ride” might just set a new standard for electric SUVs in the country.
