The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) confirmed on Wednesday that a lion was allegedly sighted in the Police Foundation Housing Society, O-9.
In response, an IWMB rescue team quickly reached the area and began coordination with Punjab Wildlife, Rescue 1122, and local police authorities to ensure safe handling of the situation if the animal is confirmed.
Officials stressed that public safety is their top priority and all precautionary measures are being taken in line with wildlife protocols. Residents have been advised to stay vigilant until the matter is fully investigated.
The IWMB also assured that it will continue to work with relevant departments to ensure the safe management of wildlife and the protection of citizens.
