In a welcome move for households, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a significant reduction in LPG prices for August 2025.
According to the official notification issued on Thursday, the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been reduced by Rs17.74 per kilogram, bringing the new rate to Rs215.36 per kg, down from Rs233 per kg in July.
The price of an 11.8kg domestic LPG cylinder has also been slashed by Rs209.24, now costing Rs2,541.36 instead of the previous Rs2,750.60.
OGRA stated that the price adjustment reflects international market trends and is aimed at easing inflationary pressure on consumers, especially families who depend on LPG for cooking and heating.
This reduction comes at a crucial time as many households continue to battle rising costs across essential commodities.
