Pakistan’s car sales jumped 28% year-on-year in July 2025 to 11,034 units, according to Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA) data, fueled by a wave of new model launches and cheaper car financing amid lower interest rates. Sales stood at 8,589 units in the same month last year.
Analysts say improved macroeconomic stability, easing inflation, and a strong pipeline of hybrid and plug-in hybrid models are likely to sustain growth into FY26.
Indus Motor Company sales doubled to 3,337 units, Hyundai Nishat posted a 2.1-time increase to 1,225 units, and Honda Atlas Cars rose 61% to 1,500 units. However, Pak Suzuki saw an 18% drop in sales.
Two- and three-wheeler sales climbed 44% YoY to 122,441 units, while tractor sales fell 18%. Truck and bus sales grew 22% YoY to 374 units.
