LAHORE – The Punjab government has introduced a unified mathematics textbook for all ninth-grade students, meaning both Arts and Science groups will now study the same curriculum.
The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTA) has directed all schools to adopt the new policy, officially discontinuing the separate general science book previously used by Arts students.
Education experts say the newly designed math curriculum is simplified and accessible, ensuring that even Arts students can easily manage the content without being overburdened.
This move aims to standardize learning outcomes across groups and ensure equal academic opportunities for all students.
