RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sealed the marketing office of the unauthorized Capital Smart City Phase-III project, along with an ATM of a private bank on its premises.
The enforcement action, led by Director General Kinza Murtaza, targeted illegal plot bookings and unauthorized construction at Airport Avenue.
According to an RDA spokesperson, the housing scheme failed to obtain mandatory No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and violated the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 as well as the Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2021.
Despite prior notices, the sponsor continued unlawful advertisement and bookings. The sealing operation was carried out by Assistant Director Planning Ali Raza and his team, with support from Chontra Police.
RDA urged the public to verify the status of any housing scheme through its official website before making investments.
