Security forces kill 33 Indian-backed terrorists in thwarted Afghan border infiltration in Balochistan

Pakistan’s security forces have killed at least 33 terrorists in a major counter-terrorism operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Sambaza, Zhob District, Balochistan. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists were attempting to infiltrate from Afghanistan on the night of August 7–8 when they were intercepted.

The group, identified as Khawarij and linked to the Indian proxy network Fitna al Khawarij, was detected through surveillance and intelligence monitoring. Upon spotting the infiltration attempt, security forces swiftly engaged the terrorists in a fierce exchange of fire, effectively neutralising the threat.

A significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the scene. ISPR stressed that the forces remain steadfast in protecting Pakistan’s frontiers and eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the military’s successful operation, paying tribute to the bravery of the personnel who risked their lives to safeguard national security. “The entire nation stands with the security forces in their fight against terrorism,” he said, reaffirming his government’s commitment to eliminating militancy in all its forms.
