TikTok has launched a handy new feature that lets users turn text or images into short videos using artificial intelligence — a move that’s expected to make life much easier for marketers and businesses on the platform.
According to Bloomberg, TikTok’s parent company says the new tool will allow marketing teams and other businesses to quickly create five-second videos by simply typing a few lines of instructions or uploading an image. The AI system does the rest, generating a custom clip in seconds.
While the feature is mainly designed with marketing companies in mind — helping them churn out engaging content more easily — anyone on TikTok can experiment with it.
This isn’t TikTok’s first dip into AI-powered creativity. Just last month, the app introduced an AI image-to-video tool for Stories, letting users transform still pictures into moving visuals. But this new feature goes a step further, adding more AI video tools for broader use across the platform.
Like TikTok, other social media giants are racing to roll out their own AI tools to help users create content faster and stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of short-form video.
