PBM hosts virtual training to promote ethics and transparency among staff

Islamabad: In line with the vision of Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has taken another step to boost institutional integrity and staff professionalism. Under the leadership of PBM Managing Director Senator Shaheen Khalid Butt, the Regional Office Lahore organized an online training session focused on organizational ethics and internal accountability.

The Zoom-based session was led by Mr. Muhammad Zaheer, Director of the Regional Office Lahore, who also acted as the master trainer. His session emphasized key principles such as transparency, ethical decision-making, and a commitment to public service—core values that define PBM’s approach to social support.

Topics explored during the session included:

Whistle blowing

Conflict of interest

Organizational behaviour

Participants engaged in discussions around real-life case studies and practical examples relevant to their daily responsibilities. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, encouraging open dialogue and active staff participation.

Regional Director Zaheer reiterated that under the guidance of the Federal Minister and the directives of the Managing Director, such capacity-building programs will continue regularly to enhance internal governance and service quality.

This initiative underscores PBM’s broader mission to deliver social assistance with integrity, ensuring that ethics and accountability remain at the heart of its operations.
