United Bank Limited (UBL) has taken a customer-friendly step by announcing that select branches will now be open on Sundays as well.
According to an official announcement on the bank’s social media channels, the Sunday banking hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., offering six hours of service to customers.
“Banking services available for you every day of the week,” the statement read, highlighting UBL’s commitment to greater accessibility.
While many banks already keep a few branches open on Saturdays, UBL’s decision marks a new milestone in Pakistani banking, as it is among the first to provide Sunday banking for public dealings.
The list of branches operating on Sundays has been made available on UBL’s website and official social media platforms.
This move reflects the increasing competition in Pakistan’s banking sector, where institutions are striving to provide extended hours and more convenience. Recently, another bank extended its weekday working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., showing a growing trend toward flexible banking solutions.
