Gold Price Hits Historic High in Pakistan After Rs. 7,300 Surge This Week

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan have shattered all previous records, hitting an all-time high after a massive weekly surge.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 3,700 per tola on Wednesday, reaching Rs. 364,900, compared to Rs. 361,200 a day earlier.

This marks the highest-ever gold rate in Pakistan, surpassing the previous record of Rs. 363,700 per tola set in April 2025.

Earlier this week, gold prices jumped by Rs. 3,600 per tola on Monday, remained stable on Tuesday, and recorded another significant hike today. Overall, the price of gold has climbed by Rs. 7,300 per tola in just three days.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 3,171 to Rs. 312,842, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs. 2,917 to Rs. 286,782.

Silver prices also saw an uptick, with per tola silver rising by Rs. 46 to Rs. 4,081, and 10 grams silver increasing by Rs. 39 to Rs. 3,498.

On the global front, gold prices surged by $37 to $3,424 per ounce, while silver rose by $0.46 to $39.34 per ounce.

Experts attribute the rally to international market fluctuations, geopolitical uncertainties, and rising demand for safe-haven assets.
