Chinese FM Wang Yi to co-chair Pakistan-China strategic dialogue with Ishaq Dar in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will arrive in Islamabad on August 21 to co-chair the 6th Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar.

The Foreign Office confirmed the visit on Tuesday, calling it part of the regular high-level exchanges between the two countries aimed at further strengthening their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.” The agenda includes reaffirming support on each other’s core issues, enhancing economic and trade cooperation, and reinforcing joint efforts for regional peace and stability.

The announcement follows the 10th round of Pakistan-China consultations on arms control, non-proliferation, and disarmament, held in Beijing on August 18.

Meanwhile, Dar was in London on Tuesday, where he met political leaders, members of the Pakistani diaspora, and Commonwealth officials, ahead of hosting his Chinese counterpart in Islamabad.
