The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has officially declared the Class 9th results for 2025, with more than 250,000 students taking part in the annual exams.
According to the gazette, 251,395 candidates appeared out of 257,445 registered. Of these, 113,431 cleared the exams, producing an overall pass percentage of 45.12%.
🔹 Science Group: Out of 199,176 students, 97,609 passed, giving a 49.01% pass rate.
🔹 Humanities Group: Of 52,219 students, 15,822 passed, with a much lower 30.30% pass rate.
When broken down by institution type:
Government schools: 93,779 students appeared, 37,502 passed (39.99% pass rate).
Private schools: 80,925 appeared, 53,692 passed (66.34% pass rate). The best-performing group was female science students in private schools, with an impressive 72.48% pass rate.
Private candidates: 76,691 appeared, 22,237 passed (29.00% pass rate). The weakest subgroup was males in humanities, with just 20.19% success.
Gender-wise performance revealed that girls outperformed boys by a wide margin:
Boys: 117,383 appeared, 40,161 passed (34.21%)
Girls: 134,012 appeared, 73,270 passed (54.69%)
