Asad Tahir Jappa, a senior Pakistani civil servant, well-known motivational speaker, and respected columnist, is currently on an official visit to Italy. During his stay, a special literary event was held in the city of Sondrio to honour two of his books: Dehati Babu and his collection of devotional poetry, Khaak-e-Batha.
The ceremony was chaired by Ms. Aqsaa Nawaz, Pakistan’s Consul General in Milan, while Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Chaudhry, former Pakistani ambassador, attended as the guest of honour. The event was organised under the supervision of Muhammad Nawaz Gulyana, President of the Global Writers Association Italy, and drew a large gathering of Pakistanis from across the country.
Asad Tahir Jappa is part of the distinguished Jappa Brothers, a family highly regarded within Pakistan’s civil service circles. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. Before this, he served as Director Media and Spokesperson at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad and has held various prominent positions over the past two decades, including Commissioner FBR Sargodha, Director of Overseas Employment Corporation Lahore, Director at the University of Gujrat, and District Officer Coordination for the Gujrat District Government.
Aside from his administrative career, Mr. Jappa is a prolific writer in both Urdu and English. For years, his widely read weekly column “Dil Ma Roshan” has been published every Wednesday in Daily 92 News, earning him a loyal readership nationwide.
