Faisalabad – The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has launched a crackdown on illegal housing projects, demolishing eight unauthorized schemes and informal settlements in the Dijkot area.
According to an FDA spokesperson, enforcement teams discovered that developers were attempting to establish four unapproved housing societies and four illegal katchi abadis in Chak No. 262-RB and 263-RB.
The illegal schemes were operating under the names:
Gulshan-e-Habib
New Gulberg
Hidayat Town
Ali Garden
The FDA swiftly moved to demolish roads, boundary walls, and other structures associated with the unlawful projects. The operation was led by Director of Town Planning Asma Mohsin and Estate Officer Aneeb Aslam Randhawa.
Officials have issued warnings to all involved developers, urging them to follow legal and departmental procedures to gain proper approvals. Failure to comply could result in further legal actions, including potential criminal charges.
The FDA also advised the public to verify the legal status of housing schemes before making any investments or plot purchases to avoid financial losses and legal complications.
