Messe Frankfurt strengthens industry bonds through Techtextil and Texprocess padel tournaments

KARACHI: Messe Frankfurt, the global organizer behind Heimtextil, Techtextil, and Texprocess , three of the world’s most influential textile trade fairs, recently brought a spirit of collaboration and networking to Pakistan’s textile community by hosting two engaging padel tournaments in Karachi: the Techtextil Meister Cup and the Texprocess Challenge Cup.

Held from September 18 to 25, 2025, the tournaments featured over 20 teams representing leading textile exporters, trade associations, and industry partners. The events provided a vibrant and informal platform for business leaders to connect, fostering camaraderie and strengthening professional ties beyond the boardroom.

Organized under the themes of Techtextil, Texprocess, and Heimtextil, the tournaments symbolized the synergy between innovation, trade, and collaboration that drives Pakistan’s textile sector forward.

Heimtextil, the world’s largest fair for home and contract textiles such as bedsheets, kitchen linen, carpets, and towels, continues to serve as a vital gateway for Pakistan’s home textile exporters to access international buyers. Its next edition will take place from January 13–16, 2026, in Frankfurt, Germany.

Meanwhile, Techtextil, scheduled for April 21–24, 2026, focuses on advanced technical textiles for industries such as healthcare, sports, protection, and packaging, while Texprocess, held concurrently, showcases state-of-the-art textile and garment production technologies.

Mr. Omer Salahuddin, CEO of Messe Frankfurt SP Pakistan, lauded the success of the initiative, stating:

“Events like these help us strengthen our community and build lasting relationships that go beyond business. We are grateful to Mr. Basit Shajani for organizing this outstanding tournament and creating an environment where industry professionals could connect in a more personal and engaging way. As Messe Frankfurt expands its activities in Pakistan, such initiatives highlight our commitment not only to trade promotion but also to fostering meaningful industry relationships.”

With this unique initiative, Messe Frankfurt Pakistan reaffirms its role as more than an exhibition organizer, it stands as a connector of people, ideas, and industries, both within Pakistan and on the global stage.
