ISLAMABAD: In a remarkable recognition of workplace culture and employee satisfaction, Nestlé, Unilever, and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been spotlighted as some of the happiest workplaces in Pakistan. The announcement was made in the World’s Happiest Workplaces 2025 list, published on Tuesday by WorkL, a leading employee experience platform.
The list evaluates workplaces worldwide based on employee engagement and overall happiness at work. According to the press release, other prominent Pakistani organizations featured include Bank Alfalah, Pakistan Super League (PSL), the University of Karachi, Pakistan State Oil, Alltech, HBL Bank, Meezan Bank, Pakistan Petroleum, Jadeed, and Factory X.
Highlighting the nation’s top scorers, several workplaces in Pakistan achieved an impressive happiness score of 95 percent. These included Titanicofficial, Unique Cycle Industry, Zong, Fazal Paper Mills, Infiniti Software, Bestway Cement, MCB Bank Limited, Mobilink, Flip Communication, Bank of Punjab, and Attock Refinery Limited.
On a global scale, South Africa’s DiFusion Technologies secured the top spot with a perfect 100 percent happiness score, followed by The Pavilion Shopping Centre in second place and US-based Avis Budget Group in third.
The competition was fierce, with over 100,000 organizations vying for recognition in the 2025 awards. According to the press release, more than a million employees participated in the Happy at Work Test, an anonymous survey designed to assess workplace satisfaction.
The survey analyzed several key areas, including employee well-being, job satisfaction, reward and recognition, information sharing, empowerment, and instilling pride. Organizations scoring 70 percent or higher earned a place on the prestigious list, showcasing their commitment to creating environments where employees can thrive.
This recognition not only highlights Pakistan’s potential for fostering positive workplace environments but also sets a benchmark for others to follow.
