Gilgit: In a significant gesture of friendship and cultural exchange, the Bousher Bikers Club from Oman has arrived in Gilgit, marking a new milestone in the bilateral relations between Oman and Pakistan.
The delegation, comprising enthusiastic Omani motorcyclists, has embarked on an overland journey from Oman to Pakistan, showcasing the strong bond between the two brotherly nations. This visit is part of a project initiated by the Embassy of Pakistan in the Sultanate of Oman to enhance diplomatic and cultural ties between the two countries.
After crossing the Babusar Top and Chilas, the bikers reached Gilgit city today, marking the beginning of their exciting journey through Pakistan’s breathtaking landscapes. During their visit, they will explore historic places, valleys, and ancient routes, immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region.
The delegation’s itinerary includes visits to iconic landmarks such as the Altit Fort and Baltit Fort, as well as explorations of the picturesque Chipursun valley and the frontier valley of Misgar. Their journey will culminate at the majestic Khunjerab Pass in Gilgit-Baltistan, the highest border crossing between Pakistan and China.
This visit is a testament to the warm relations between Oman and Pakistan and highlights the potential for further cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations which will also help in promoting tourism in Pakistan.
