ELFA and Bykea join forces to electrify Pakistan’s gig economy

In a powerful step toward a cleaner, more affordable future, ELFA Electric Motorcycles and Bykea have teamed up to bring electric mobility to the heart of Pakistan’s gig economy. The partnership, officially launched last week in Karachi, will make it easier for thousands of Bykea driver-partners to swap their petrol bikes for high-performance ELFA electric bikes—without breaking the bank.

Thanks to affordable installment plans and massive savings on fuel and maintenance, riders could pocket up to Rs. 8,000 extra each month—a meaningful boost for those who rely on their motorcycles to earn a living.

“This isn’t just about electric bikes—it’s about empowering people,” said Huma Yahya Khattak, CEO of EV Technologies, the company behind ELFA Electric. “We designed the ELFA EV125 specifically for Pakistan’s tough road conditions and the hardworking riders who keep our cities moving.”

The partnership comes on the heels of a successful six-month pilot program where Bykea riders put the ELFA EV125 to the test—navigating potholes, steep roads, long days, and unpredictable weather. The feedback? Overwhelmingly positive.

“Fuel prices are eating into drivers’ incomes,” said Rafiq Malik, COO of Bykea. “We needed a durable, cost-saving alternative, and ELFA delivered. This isn’t about hype—it’s about survival, savings, and sustainability.”

Built with locally made Atom Power ATP-series lithium-ion batteries, the ELFA EV125 offers not just speed and power, but also smart tracking, faster charging, and long range—tailored for Pakistan’s unique urban sprawl. Riders can rely on a robust support system too, including warranties, servicing, and readily available spare parts.

More than just a tech upgrade, the ELFA-Bykea partnership is about economic inclusion—making modern, green technology accessible to those who need it most. It’s a bold move toward a cleaner, smarter, and more equitable transport system.
