Pakistan’s auto industry has marked another milestone as Honda Atlas shipped 38 locally assembled Honda City 1.2L units to Japan, its second consignment to the country this year.
The first batch of 40 units was dispatched in April 2025, signaling growing confidence in the quality and reliability of vehicles produced in Pakistan.
Honda officials said the move reflects improved manufacturing standards and aligns with the company’s strategy to integrate Pakistan more deeply into its global supply chain.
Pakistan’s car exports are gaining traction as other automakers also tap international markets. Toyota Indus sent 50 units—including Fortuner, Corolla Cross, and IMV models—to overseas markets in July 2023, while Changan Pakistan exported 14 Oshan X7 SUVs to Kenya and Tanzania. More recently, Hyundai Nishat exported Santa Fe Hybrid units to Sri Lanka.
Industry experts believe this growing export momentum shows that Pakistan’s automotive sector is steadily moving beyond domestic demand, opening doors for more international partnerships and market access.
