The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has reassured Bahria Town residents that their properties and investments remain secure despite ongoing legal actions against the housing society. In an official statement issued Monday, NAB dismissed recent social media rumors claiming residents might lose their homes, calling these allegations part of “a deep conspiracy” by certain groups aiming to acquire assets at undervalued prices.
NAB clarified that the legal proceedings are directed solely at properties owned by Bahria Town itself, and do not affect properties purchased by individual residents. The bureau emphasized that the rights of homeowners are fully protected and urged residents to continue their lives without fear or disruption.
The statement also underlined NAB’s commitment to pursuing legal action relentlessly until all misappropriated funds are recovered, referencing the ongoing court-approved plea bargain mechanism related to the £190 million case involving PTI founder Imran Khan and others. These proceedings include auctions of Bahria Town assets aimed at recovering pending dues as per the settlement agreement.
NAB’s assurance comes as a significant relief to Bahria Town’s large resident base amid concerns fueled by misinformation. The bureau vowed to continue its process without succumbing to outside pressure, maintaining focus on recovering looted money while safeguarding innocent investors’ rights.
