ISLAMABAD – The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has launched a crackdown against illegal online gambling and unregulated trading platforms, declaring 46 mobile applications unlawful across Pakistan.
The banned apps include some of the most widely used betting platforms such as 1xBet, Chicken Road, Aviator Games, Dafabet, 22Bet, Casumo, Rabona, 10Cric, Plinko, and Bet365. According to NCCIA, these applications were facilitating online betting, casino-style gaming, and unregulated financial transactions.
Officials said the move aims to curb illegal gambling and prevent financial crimes linked to unauthorized digital platforms. The list also features unregulated forex and binary trading applications, which were flagged for operating without oversight and posing risks of scams, money laundering, and illegal money transfers.
In addition, the NCCIA warned against certain apps collecting personal user information such as SIM and mobile number details, raising concerns over privacy breaches, misuse of sensitive data, and potential identity theft.
The agency has formally approached the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to ensure these applications are blocked nationwide. Citizens have been urged to remain vigilant and avoid downloading unverified apps that could compromise both financial security and personal data.
