ISLAMABAD: A new book titled Caught in the Crossfire was launched in Islamabad, offering a vivid reflection on regional turmoil and its far-reaching impact on Pakistan’s national stability and global security dynamics.
Authored by Brigadier (R) Naseem Akhtar Khan, the book provides a compelling firsthand account of shifting security landscapes, shaped by the author’s direct involvement in some of the most volatile events of the past four decades.
Speaking at the launch, Brigadier (R) Naseem said the work was not merely a personal memoir but a broader tribute. “This memoir is not just my story—it is a tribute to the courage, dedication, and sacrifices of countless individuals who serve our nation. I hope readers gain a deeper understanding of the complexities and commitments that shape our defense landscape,” he remarked.
The launch ceremony drew an audience of military veterans, diplomats, corporate leaders, journalists, writers, advocates, and family members, with senior journalists and regimental comrades of the author also in attendance.
Published by Pen & Sword Books (UK) and marketed internationally by Casemate Publishers (USA), the book is already available on Amazon. In Pakistan, it has been reprinted by Vanguard Books and is stocked at all leading bookstores nationwide.
